Our priority areas

We create long-term value through sustainable buildings and business conducted with reliability

The real estate sector plays an important role in the transition to a more sustainable society. At Logistea, we view sustainability as an essential part of long-term value creation.

Following our merger with KMC Properties in 2024, we have laid the foundation for a joint, robust sustainability program based on an updated double materiality analysis. This analysis helps us understand our impact, identify risks and opportunities, and focus our resources where they create the most value.

Green properties

We aim to conduct our operations in a resource-efficient and environmentally responsible manner, both in daily activities and in strategic decision-making. Logistea works systematically to reduce climate impact, improve the energy efficiency of our properties, and transition to renewable energy wherever possible. Concrete measures include the installation of solar panels, battery energy storage, and improvements in energy classification.

Logistea’s operations are run with resource efficiency in mind, taking into account both actual and potential environmental impacts in all business decisions. Due diligence is applied in the assessment and management of sustainability-related risks.

Social value creation

By developing and managing sustainable logistics hubs in attractive locations, we create value for communities, businesses, and people. Logistics plays a central role in local growth, job creation, and quality public services. Logistea also aims to be an inclusive and responsible employer where employees thrive, develop, and feel proud of their work.

Our properties must be safe and contribute to well-being—both indoors and outdoors. In collaboration with tenants, we work to create new green spaces that support biodiversity.

Logistea’s operations shall be conducted responsibly, with sound business ethics as a foundation. Our solutions must be sustainable in the long term from a social, environmental, and economic perspective. How we work with ESG

At Logistea, sustainability is an integral part of our business model and governance. We take responsibility for our impact on the environment, people, and society, and our work is based on international frameworks such as the UN Global Compact, the ILO Core Conventions, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

We work purposefully to reduce the climate impact of our properties, integrate energy-efficient solutions, and ensure that our buildings are prepared for future requirements.

The most material issues, identified through our double materiality analysis, are:

  • Direct emissions from Logistea’s operations
  • Investments in energy efficiency
  • Property damage caused by extreme weather events

During the year, we are implementing several projects within these areas. We are mapping and reporting our scope 3 emissions, conducting climate risk assessments for all properties in our portfolio, and initiating action plans to reduce risks. At the same time, we continue our efforts to improve the energy efficiency of our buildings.

By promoting good working conditions, diversity, and inclusion, we create social value both within the organization and in the communities where we operate.

Our employees

At Logistea, we value our employees – they are our most important resource. With fewer than 30 employees, we are a small organization characterized by close collaboration and high flexibility. We believe it is important that each employee has a high degree of influence over their workday and enjoys a strong level of autonomy.

Work–life balance

We want our employees to experience a balance between work and private life. Therefore, we offer the possibility to work from home when tasks allow it, without restrictions on how often remote work is used – as long as the work is carried out effectively.

We have employees in both Sweden and Norway. While laws and regulations differ slightly between countries, all our employees are offered flexibility in working hours. Employment terms are clearly described in our employee handbook, which is available internally at Logistea.

Employment terms

At Logistea, we do not use temporary contracts. All employees are directly employed by the company. For specific projects, we occasionally engage consultants.

Work environment and safety

Logistea’s employees are exposed to very limited work-related risks. We have not had any work-related fatalities in our organization.

Work-related injuries 2024:

  • Number of injuries with sick leave: 0
  • Number of fatalities: 0

Development and well-being

We want our employees to thrive and develop at a pace that suits them. Every year, we conduct performance and salary reviews to follow up on job satisfaction, work environment, and development opportunities.

We run our business with integrity, transparency, and accountability. Logistea has zero tolerance for corruption and bribery, and the Board of Directors holds the overall responsibility for implementing and monitoring the sustainability strategy. Our codes of conduct for employees, suppliers, and tenants provide clear frameworks for responsible behavior.
